Designing Custom Parts with AI: LexiCAD Use Case Demo

Examples of models designed by LexiCAD

customized Phone stand

User description: "A phone stand consisting of a rectangular base with a length of 8cm, a width of 6cm, and a thickness of 2cm. A 2mm thick front wall is positioned at the front edge of the base, spanning its 6cm width. Immediately behind this front wall, a rectangular phone slot is recessed into the top surface of the base. This slot has a depth of 1.2cm, a width of 9mm (along the 8cm base length), and a length of 6cm (along the 6cm base width). A solid backrest, 5mm thick and spanning the full 6cm width of the base, rises from the base immediately behind the phone slot. The backrest is 7cm tall and is angled at 60 degrees relative to the horizontal plane of the base. On the bottom face of the base, a semi-circular cable cutout groove is present. This groove has a diameter of 6mm (meaning 6mm wide and 3mm deep), runs the full 8cm length of the base from back to front, and is centered along the 6cm width."

Personalized Toolbox

User description: "A rectangular toolbox with a length of 25cm, a width of 10cm, and a depth of 9cm. All walls of the box are 2mm thick. A cylindrical handle with a 3cm diameter runs along the length of the box, positioned 9cm above the top surface of the box. The handle is supported by two 2mm thick walls that extend upwards from the short sides of the box. Each support has a profile consisting of a rectangular base, 10cm wide and 9cm high, matching the box's dimensions. Above this base, the support tapers upwards, culminating in a semi-circular cutout with a 1.5cm radius at its top to cradle the handle. The total height of each support from the bottom of the box to the center of the handle is 19.5cm. On one of the long sides of the box, the text 'Lincoln' is embossed with a thickness of 3mm, centered on the side and running parallel to the 25cm length."

Cable Clip organizer

Solve clutter with precision: Cable clips fit to your needs

User description: "A cable organizer. The backplate is rectangular, 14cm long, 2.5 cm tall, and 3mm thick. There is a 4 mm diameter circular hole at each end of the plate for mounting. The holes are centered vertically on the backplate’s 2.5 cm height. Between the holes are 5 evenly spaced cable clips. Each cable clip consists of a semi-sphere-like volume that juts out from the back plate. They protrude 7.5 mm from the backplate. In that shape is bored a cylindrical hole in the direction of the 2.5 cm dimension of the back plate. These holes should fit 5mm cables. The cable clips are open at the front where the holes are bored, but not at the full width of the hole. Just enough to squeeze in a 5mm cable."

Replacement Knob

Replace, don’t rebuy: Custom knobs for any appliance

User description: "Replacement heater knob. The base is a 32.2 mm diameter, 4mm thick cylinder. Centered on top is a teardrop-shaped handle spanning the cylinder’s diameter—12mm wide at one edge, tapering to a point at the opposite edge, and 12 mm thick. Beside the handle, deboss “HEAT→” by 2 mm into the cylinder’s top, text running parallel to the teardrop, with the arrow pointing toward its wider end. In the back, bore a 10 mm deep hole for a double flat shaft, which has 6.3 mm circular diameter, 5 mm flat-to-flat. Add a 0.3 mm offset for 3D printing. Align the flat sides with the teardrop’s length."

Classic Vase

Form meets function: A classic vase made with just a prompt

User description: "A pentagonal vase with a classic curvy side profile. The bottom diameter is 9cm, then it grows outward to 16cm at height 7cm, then it narrows to 6cm at the neck at height 17cm, before expanding to 8cm at the opening. The vase has a total height of 22cm. Walls are 2mm thick throughout, including the bottom wall."
